IRIS2-WEB Teambuilding
March 4-5, 2006
Virgin Beach Resort - Laiya, Batangas
It was the first joint teambuilding of the IRIS2 and Web Teams. We were all supposed to meet at 5:30 am, but FORTUNATELY, Mike and Anthony were late. They were charged with a P10/min fine, which totaled to about 600 bucks. Hahaha, dami tuloy namin snacks! =) Then, we met up with the South people and had breakfast at Jollibee SLEX, it was there that I found out that Jollibee's bangus breakfast was yummy. =)
We rode in DJ's Innova, namely Me, Angel, Kaye, Julia, Alaine and Anthony and we dubbed ourselves the Innova Team. Malupit ang bonding namin dun! Haha, may loveteam pa kaming nabuo! =P Alaine will probably kill me for posting this, but I'll risk an untimely death - this is too good to not talk about! =) Well you see, Alaine and *ahem*, Anthony were seated on the last row... and well, i guess they found a topic of common interest and they began talking.... hmmm...
Anyway, the place was great, the Innova Team took the front cottage which had a direct view of the beach. If a tsunami hit, we'd be the first to die! Hehehe... joke! We were 8 in the room, 4 slept on the floor and 4 on the bed. Slumber party! But bets, the "nightstalker" wouldn't let us sleep. =( Well, actually hindi daw cya makatulog, so ginugulo nalang nya kami... she tickled our toes to keep us up and maintained a steady conversation with us. We suggested everything we knew that could help her go to sleep, but DJ's "I kissed dating goodbye" book did the trick and made bets finally leave the room. Hehehe... Sorry bets! Late na yun noh! =P
We had a number of teambuilding activities lined up for the weekend, but the most memorable had to be the "Zoom" game. The whole group was divided into 4 teams for the games, each team had 5 members and for this game, they had to line up and each member was handed a picture placed upside down in front of them. The game starts when the first team member looks at his/her picture, then they're supposed to make up a story based on the pic... And this was the Mazda team's winning story.
One day Alaine was fixing her hair, because it was her wedding day! Her wedding car was a jeepney, and her groom was Anthony! hahaha! (and contra-bida daw si BItoy =P)
**disclaimer: the pics were randomly picked and the selection and order of the pictures were in no way influenced by the gamemasters
Aside from the games, we also went boating, snorkeling; We played frisbee on the beach, carved our team's names on the sand and went swimming. It was just a fun and relaxing weekend. I also had a great time with the Lord on the beachfront - it was so calm and beautiful, you can't help but think of our Great Creator. I missed the sunset though, well probably because it was cloudy most of the time we were there (which was a real blessing na rin).
The food there was buffet, so everyone was happy! yahoo! The breakfast was especially good, there was an omelette station, plus goto, fried rice, tapa, longga, danggit, and the drinks were also bottomless! They had the wonderful local kapeng barako and chocolate drink.
During lull times, the team played cards, or took pictures. At the end of the trip, I wasn't really tired - it was because easy lang kami all the time we were there! Go IRIS2-WEB! =)
