Ang buhay ay parang bato...

...it's hard.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin"
I'm whisperin "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible
But God believes I am worth it

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou
I'm just a simple sinner who received
God's good grace, somehow...

BinKs!

Hi Everyone! Meet the newest addition to the Web Team! Caitlin Desiree a.k.a. Binks! =)

Dj and I went to visit Char and Binks at the Medical City last Friday, and we were super lucky coz Binks was in the room! We saw her sleep, wake-up, change, cry a lot and chow on some formula, hehe... (It turns out she was crying coz she was hungry =P)

And we therefore conclude that Binks got Dar's eyes and Char's lips. But we haven't quite decided on the nose =P

So enjoy the video! (Sabi nga ni Char, 1st press release toh!)

My New Cam

I finally got it! Haha! After 2 long weeks of waiting, it's finally here... my new toy! My new Sony DSC-N1!

http://www.sony-asia.com/n1/gateway.html

I really got a good deal on this, i had my sis' friend buy me one from Singapore, since electronics there (especially cameras) are really cheap. I got it like 38% less than the price here in the Philippines, and the package already includes a 512MB memory stick duo card, plus an international warranty!

Thanks Lord for the blessing! =)

Haha, and now that I have a small cam, I think my next cam will be a serious SLR =P

Dampa

May 3, 2006

It's been a while since the Web Team bonded, and so sometime after we got the bonus, nagkayayaan mag-dinner out. So, last Wednesday, the Web team (minus Kiko, Gary, Pre, Wally & Naldy) went to Dampa, somewhere near Macapagal Ave. And We had fun there! Hehe, we went to the market first and bought the stuff we wanted to eat. Then we had them cooked in a nearby restaurant. We had shrimp, oysters, crabs, pork, tuna and squid. Sarap!

Serious and Wacky Shot! Haha!

It was also a bonding time for the team... hehe, we talked about stuff... unfortunately they are censored and cannot be shared with anyone. Yes, secret po cya. =) Ultimately it was a comforting and fun time... daming chismis, kwentos, labasan ng sama ng loob, and fun! Hehe... Go Web Team!

Falling Short.

That's what I've been feeling lately - that I fall short of every expectation put before me.
I've never been a people-pleaser, I've never really cared what people think of me. So I guess this is not about the fear of "what would people think of me". But its more of feeling bad about myself. Yeah, I guess you could call this a pity party. It's kinda weird you know. I'm not used to this.

Maybe God is teaching me something here. Something that I have to learn. Maybe it's the fact that I have ALWAYS fallen short.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
~Romans 3:23

I guess it's a reminder that I do not deserve the blessings the Lord has showered upon me, and that I truly stand only by God's grace. It's humbling. Truly humbling.

"Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world's eyes, or powerful, or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who are wise. And he chose those whoare powerless to shame the powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important, so that no on ecan ever boast in the presence of God.

God alone made it possible for you to be in Christ Jesus. For our benefit, God made Christ to be wisdom itself. He is the one who made us acceptable to God. He made us pure and holy, and he gave himself to purchase our freedom. As the Scriptures say, 'The person who wishes to boast should boast only of what the Lord has done.'"

Shifting Gears

April 6 to 9, 2006
Caliraya Re-Creation Center

I didn't get to write about what happened in this retreat.
Maybe it's because part of me knows that much of what transpired in those 4 days is hard to put into words. The experience was extraordinary, surreal even - but in an incredibly wonderful way. So I'll just let the photos speak for themselves, and let the captions tell the story.

...hmmm did that make sense? :P
