Ang buhay ay parang bato...

...it's hard.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin"
I'm whisperin "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible
But God believes I am worth it

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou
I'm just a simple sinner who received
God's good grace, somehow...

Home Alone... Well.. Almost..

All right, all right... eto na po ang anking bagong entry...

As you've noticed, I've been, as Pong put it, "dormant" for the past couple of weeks... it's not that I haven't been writing, writing is after all, second nature to me, but it's been mostly on my offline journal - yup, the good 'ol pen and paper. =)

So what's up with me? Well, I'm home alone for two and a half weeks now - almost that is, if you don't count the maid. You see, my sis and her family went on a 3 week US holiday and they recruited me to be their housesitter. It's quite weird though, coz I'm always used to their house being a bundle of energy with my two pamangkins living there.

Anyway, it's been relaxing and peaceful. At least I get a breather from my nagger mom, hehe.. I also get to watch a lot of DVDs, and back episodes of CSIs, Gilmore Girls, Smallville, even American Idol! =)

But more than that, I got to spend some time with myself. Yup, myself. Me. Peggy. Me, myself and I. I recommend that we all do it once in a while. Yahoo! Just take a break and ponder on both the good and the not-so-good things in your life. Confront the things you don't want to, head on! ...the things in your mind that you don't want to deal with. It's really good for the brain.. Hehehe... and for the soul too..

Aside from myself, I've also been spending time with God. And the Lord has placed some really tough decisions before me these past few weeks. It's crayzeee! It's kinda hard to explain, but these two and a half weeks alone has been a time of total heart and motive check. Big time talaga! Well - that's about all i'm gonna say.

On second thought, I still have something to say, it's that it's always hard to step out in faith. You know when God wants you to do something, and He's almost shouting it to your face, but you just don't want to hear it? Well, I kinda feel that way right now. There's something that I know in my heart of hearts God wants me to do, but I don't want to do it! But thank God He's leading me down the path to doing it. I feel like I'm just being led to do this. But I know that I will never regret following God. He's never let me down in my whole life - and I know that's never gonna change.

P.S. to all readers:
Sorry for the somber tone of this post. I promise that I have a happy post up my sleeve this coming week. =) *muah* =*

IRIS2-WEB Teambuilding

March 4-5, 2006
Virgin Beach Resort - Laiya, Batangas

It was the first joint teambuilding of the IRIS2 and Web Teams. We were all supposed to meet at 5:30 am, but FORTUNATELY, Mike and Anthony were late. They were charged with a P10/min fine, which totaled to about 600 bucks. Hahaha, dami tuloy namin snacks! =) Then, we met up with the South people and had breakfast at Jollibee SLEX, it was there that I found out that Jollibee's bangus breakfast was yummy. =)

We rode in DJ's Innova, namely Me, Angel, Kaye, Julia, Alaine and Anthony and we dubbed ourselves the Innova Team. Malupit ang bonding namin dun! Haha, may loveteam pa kaming nabuo! =P Alaine will probably kill me for posting this, but I'll risk an untimely death - this is too good to not talk about! =) Well you see, Alaine and *ahem*, Anthony were seated on the last row... and well, i guess they found a topic of common interest and they began talking.... hmmm...

hmm

Anyway, the place was great, the Innova Team took the front cottage which had a direct view of the beach. If a tsunami hit, we'd be the first to die! Hehehe... joke! We were 8 in the room, 4 slept on the floor and 4 on the bed. Slumber party! But bets, the "nightstalker" wouldn't let us sleep. =( Well, actually hindi daw cya makatulog, so ginugulo nalang nya kami... she tickled our toes to keep us up and maintained a steady conversation with us. We suggested everything we knew that could help her go to sleep, but DJ's "I kissed dating goodbye" book did the trick and made bets finally leave the room. Hehehe... Sorry bets! Late na yun noh! =P

We had a number of teambuilding activities lined up for the weekend, but the most memorable had to be the "Zoom" game. The whole group was divided into 4 teams for the games, each team had 5 members and for this game, they had to line up and each member was handed a picture placed upside down in front of them. The game starts when the first team member looks at his/her picture, then they're supposed to make up a story based on the pic... And this was the Mazda team's winning story.

story

One day Alaine was fixing her hair, because it was her wedding day! Her wedding car was a jeepney, and her groom was Anthony! hahaha! (and contra-bida daw si BItoy =P)

**disclaimer: the pics were randomly picked and the selection and order of the pictures were in no way influenced by the gamemasters

Aside from the games, we also went boating, snorkeling; We played frisbee on the beach, carved our team's names on the sand and went swimming. It was just a fun and relaxing weekend. I also had a great time with the Lord on the beachfront - it was so calm and beautiful, you can't help but think of our Great Creator. I missed the sunset though, well probably because it was cloudy most of the time we were there (which was a real blessing na rin).

The food there was buffet, so everyone was happy! yahoo! The breakfast was especially good, there was an omelette station, plus goto, fried rice, tapa, longga, danggit, and the drinks were also bottomless! They had the wonderful local kapeng barako and chocolate drink.

During lull times, the team played cards, or took pictures. At the end of the trip, I wasn't really tired - it was because easy lang kami all the time we were there! Go IRIS2-WEB! =)

Happy Birthday KIM!!!

Hehe, its my friend Kim's birthday today! =)

kim
** gosh i'm so nice, i didn't post your geeky picture! haha! **

This girl's the prankster with a pretty face. She's super weird, (try collecting bugs and frogs), but super fun to be with. A geek wannabe, chocolate addict and sadist who's allergic to the rain. A feeling-health buff, who's a kid at heart - literally! (I swear, she's the number one fan of lindsay lohan and hilary duff) A romantic, goth lover. A committed Christian .A shopaholic (if she's not broke). A busy-all-the-time gal. Great friend.

Hope you have a happy one Kim. =)

ETC...

PASALUBONG!!!

Haha! I got a nice bonnet from Baguio! Courtesy of Rage!
I really like it... too bad i don't have a pic of it...

BLOG

Honestly, tinatamad akong mag-blog.
Hehehe, I haven't fixed my blog in the loooongest time.
And I'm beginning to get tired of the whole black theme.
I'm so over goth. Hahaha! Sorry Kim!

I was thinking of a brighter color, like orange and green - just in time for the summer.
Hmmmm.... pwede!
I don't have any plans this summer, and if ever my friends do have something planned, i really don't feel like going.
I'm just so tamad this season! =S

NEW PET

I have a new pet though. He's big, he's green and he's a frog! I've finally decided on a name, and its Arthur. Feeling ko kasi frog prince/king cya, at pag hinalikan mo cya, magiging knight in shining armor cya.... hehehe, Arthur of Camelot! Ay AnN! Our fave movie! =P

GREAT QT.

Nothing beats a great QT with the Lord. And I just had one the other night. It reduced me to nothing but tears and praises to my God. Whew! Ibang klase talaga! I remember JC talked about how beauty pierces you. And I think that was how it was the other night, the words of the Lord were so beautiful, it just pierced my heart. The Words of the Lord were just excruciatingly beautiful. I cannot begin to imagine how He is, and how I truly, every knee shall bow at the awesome sight of God.
