Ang buhay ay parang bato...

...it's hard.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin"
I'm whisperin "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible
But God believes I am worth it

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou
I'm just a simple sinner who received
God's good grace, somehow...

My Bro's Visit

I know mejo late na tong post na to, but the brownout deleted the entry that I typed up. (Kasi hindi ko sinave!)

Anyway, my brother Vincent came home for a short visit last June 15-18. He was here on OB (he had some papers to fix), but he brought along his entire family. There's Achi Rose, the cute 3 yr old Isaac, and baby Angelica. =) I really bonded with them while they were here, particularly with the Mandarin-speaking Isaac. Grabe, napiga yung Mandarin ko.. :P Now I wish I payed more attention to my Chinese teachers back in HS! Hehehe... anyway, it's not too late to learn, a short vacation in Taiwan should do the trick :P

Since we had to stay in Manila, where else could we go to but malls?? We went to a number of malls but the highlight had to be the Mall of Asia. It was soooo big! we stayed there from late morning, lunch, til early afternoon, and boy, were we tired! According to my bro, they didn't have malls like these in Taiwan. On their last night here, we ate at Dencio's... I bet they missed Philippine's fatty food :P (Crispy Pata, Sisig, Fried everything! Hehehe...)

Ok, here are some pics. Yeah, that's my bro, the big tababoy, tall guy (he's a little over 6 feet) with the angas hairdo.

by Pablo Neruda

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I don't know any other way of loving
but this, in which there is no I or you,
so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,
so intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close.
